There are perks to not owning a building. We don't have to clean the carpets, scrub toilets, or wash the windows -- but someone has to, and that someone is an incredible gentleman by the name of Roberto.
Roberto works for the school district, and the district requires that he be present when we gather, on Sundays. Roberto faithfully serves in ways that many don't see - making sure that everything is unlocked, cleaned, and in top shape for us. He is an example of dedication and hard work. In order for Roberto to be with his family during Christmas and New Year's Day, we decided to post pone our services until after the holidays.
That said, there will be no Sunday Service on both December 25th or January 1st.
But, just because we won't gather until the 8th of January, that doesn't mean we stop being the church. This holiday season abounds with ways to celebrate the worth and work of Jesus, be on gospel mission, gather with friends, serve those in need, and rejoice in all that God has done and is doing.
Our prayer is that when we come together in the New Year, we will be filled with all the goodness that overflows from our gracious God. He has given us life, hope, and a mission - to grow, live, serve, and lead in the gospel; all for His glory, and our good.
Blessings to you, in Christ Jesus.
